EXTRACTIONS
Extractions are an alternative where by a tooth is removed. Typically, teeth are extracted only when other treatment options will not provide as beneficial results as removing the tooth.
PERIO CARE
Gingivitis (puffy swollen gums from natural bacteria in the mouth) affects approximately 90% of the population to some degree. Unless effectively maintained, gingivitis can lead to periodontal disease (jaw bone loss) and eventually tooth loss. While incurable, gingivitis and periodontal disease can be managed. If necessary, a patient can be back on track to controlling this disease within two to three appointments.
ENDODONTICS
Occasionally a cavity in a tooth grows so deeply that the pulp (center of the tooth with the nerves and blood vessels) becomes infected and inflamed. Endodontic treatment may help eliminate the infection, saving the tooth from needing to be extracted. All endodontic treatment is completed under local anesthetic for a pain free procedure with minimal discomfort.
IMPLANTS
Advancements in dental technology have made implant based tooth replacement more efficient and stronger than ever. Once placed, a crown is attached to the implant creating a replacement “tooth” that requires no different care and maintenance than a natural tooth.
BRIDGES
Bridges are one of the most economical ways to replace a missing tooth. Bridges look very similar to three crowns that are fused; the two end crowns support a middle false crown. Bridges are a very sturdy appliance, able to withstanding almost the same pressures and activities as a natural tooth. As with all teeth, proper hygienic care for a bridge is necessary to extend its life as long as possible (usually between ten and twenty years).
CROWNS
A variety of crowns (also known as caps) are available for major dental restorations. Full Gold, Porcelain on Noble Metal and Porcelain on High Noble crowns can assist in strengthening a comprised tooth, adding many more years of beauty and enjoyment.
VENEERS
Porcelain veneers are thin porcelain shells that are custom-fabricated to restore a cracked, damaged, or stained tooth to its original beauty. Rather than actually correcting cosmetic problems with the teeth, it is disguised in a permanent manner. Typically, veneers are applied only to the top teeth, but they can also be used on the bottom teeth. They are a great way to improve the overall appearance of your smile.
